Cambodia is the world RCNs producing country in 2021 because the production increased to more 1,108,000 tons only exported Vietnam excluding exported to other countries and local consumption. However, the productions have decreased to around 700,000 tons in 2022 and to about 650,000 in 2023 because of Covid-19, the bad climate change, and the low prices that make some farmers decided to chop the old cashew trees and converted to field crops such as cassava. 

Remarkably, the Royal Government of Cambodia issued the National Cashew Policy on 24th February 2023 to get involved all relevant ministries, institutions, international development partners, and cashew actors to improve cashew production and quality to supply to the world markets. Cambodia Cashew Federation (CCF) was established a National Entity Level by Ministry of Commerce on 10th October 2022 to respond to the National Cashew Policy in order to cooperate with governmental ministries/institutions, development partners, & all cashew actors (producers, processors & exporters) in one umbrella to effectively develop the Whole Cashew Value Chain to achieve consistent supports from global markets in the successful and sustainable manners.
